The IMPRS-LS aims to fully involve doctoral students in the decision-making processes of the school. The student representatives are elected to the IMPRS-LS Board with full voting rights by the student assemblies that take place twice a year. The coordination office team regularly meets with the student representatives to elicit regular feedback and to foster a constructive exchange, thereby ensuring that all students’ needs and interests are heard and met. New ideas, concepts and measures are discussed with the student representatives before implementation. The coordination office team strongly encourages and supports the student representatives to find their own possible solutions and suggestions for enhancing the quality of the program. Thus, the IMPRS-LS student representatives play a very active and important role in further developing and improving the research school and in establishing new concepts and ideas.
